ContourKM founder Kimani Morrison was born and raised in New Jersey where she learned her passion for fashion design. At a young age, she struggled to find fashionable clothing in her size let alone swim wear.

While studying fashion design at the Art Institute of Charlotte, NC she realized that women were experiencing the same struggle. The lack of style/clothing options in the plus-size community and that women were not confident in their true beauty and she wanted to change that.

ContourKM began as a custom clothing brand catering to plus-size women but Kimani later realized after being apart of “Curvy Fashion Weekend” and creating a swimwear line, that swimwear was her niche.

Through her creations, she wanted to remind society that plus-size women should be treated equally regardless of what they wear. Plus-size women should let their true beauty be reflected despite those who disagree.

ContourKM’s mission is to create handmade custom luxury swimwear apparel for plus-size women focusing on their unique silhouette while utilizing fabrics that complement their body. Fashion design has the power to strengthen the voice of plus-size women by building their self-esteem through the intentional creation of personally inspired designs. This purposeful strategy will inspire plus-size women to become global game changers.
